About the event
Memorial Day is not only a day off of work, but a day to remember those family and friends who are no longer physically with us. I was created as a day to mourn the people lost during the United States Civil War. The Civil War was devastating to the United States population. At the end of the war there was not a citizen who was untouched by death that occurred during the war.
As time passed it became a Holiday to remember all military personnel who have died in all wars. Additionally we use this time to remember all the people who are dearly missed.
They may no longer physically be with us, but they live on through our memories. Take some time on this day to remember your love ones and the military personnel who have given their lives so you can live the life you now have..
