Creamy, tart, sweet, crunch, and lite, what more could you want from a salad. This is a fast, easy salad that is great for BBQs, potlucks, and any other gathering.
It can be used as a substitute for a dessert or is a great salad to balance all the savory salads. Kids and adults love it. The only dilemma is which table to place it on the salad table or the dessert table. Hmmmmm??
4 - 5 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and diced
1 8 oz container Cool Whip
2 Tablespoons Caramel Sauce
2 King size candy bars. Snickers, Milky Way, Heath Bar, Kit Kat you pick you favorite. Our family prefers to make it with snickers.
In a bowl mix the cool whip and 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce. Add the peeled and diced Granny Smith apples along with the sliced or broken candy bar. Stir together and garnish with a swirl of caramel and sliced candy bar on top.
Serve cold.
