Blistered Green Beans

If you haven't had them you are missing out. If you have then you have been trying to do them at home and failing until now.

3 - 4 Cups fresh Green Beans

1 - 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Ground Red Pepper flakes

2 Tablespoons Butter

1 shot glass Water

Start by Snapping and cleaning the Green Beans. Make sure they are rinsed and drained. In a sauté pan heat over medium heat the olive oil. Add the green beans sauté until the beans start turning dark green and glossy. Turn up temperature to high and let beans sit and get color stirring occasionally until blisters are obtained to your preference.

Turn temperature back to medium heat. Add garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes and stir. Add butter and melt stirring to coat. Add water and cover sauté pan with lid to steam the beans. Stir occasionally until cooked through. The water should have evaporated and left only beans.

Remove from heat and serve.
