When you feel bad about all your guilty pleasures throughout the holiday season then you go back to normal eating. Well because I had so many treats and sweets I would have Chocolate cravings and sometimes CHOCOLATE CRAVINGS.
I learned if I denied them they got worse and I would go back to eating the leftover sweets. Denying does not work for me but I want to reduce my sugar and fat intake to get back to normal. I found two solutions that work: 1. walk down my intake by reducing daily until I get to normal level, but then sometimes the cravings still hit or 2. Replace high sugar and fat treats like ice cream, candy, cake, (I think you can fill in the list) with this quick and easy craving buster.
1 Microwave Safe Mug
1 heaping teaspoon Cocoa Powder
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
1/2 cup low fat Milk
Stir milk into sugar and cocoa. It will not incorporate into the milk. Just stir and remove spoon. Microwave for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir. It should start to dissolve into the milk.
Add milk to total 8 oz in mug. Stir again, remove spoon and microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds or until at desired heat. Stir once more and enjoy.
You can raise and lower the amount of sugar in this recipe to your taste level or use a sugar substitute and nut or soy milk.
This recipe is saturated with chocolate flavor with low sugar and fat to help with the chocolate cravings.
