Salisbury steak is really just ground beef or steak, with or without extra ingredients covered in gravy. This is a great 10 minute meal that is filling and flavorful.
4 Bacon Hamburger Patties
4 pieces of cheese, Swiss, Muenster, Provolone or Cheddar
1 Package Brown Gravy (2 cups)
5 large Mushroom, sliced
1 teaspoon Butter
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
4 pieces of Bread
Sauté the mushrooms in butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Add gravy mix and water to make 2 cups gravy. Simmer until thick.
While making gravy grill hamburgers, season to taste, and add cheese when cooked. Melt cheese. Pull off grill when complete.
Toast bread and place on plate. Place cooked hamburgers with cheese on top of toast. Cover in gravy mixture. Serve hot with vegetables.
