Ghost Buck

Writer: wildflowersandcastironwildflowersandcastiron

Mule Deer in Utah are known as Gray Ghosts. They have a gray color that helps them blend into the environment. Utah has lots of sagebrush along with other brush, gray bark on pines, gray granite, and scrub oak. Most of the time gray is the best cooking to match the environment found within Utah.

I took the picture off the side of the road shortly before my mom passed away. It was during the late fall. When I showed friends they pointed out that they could see a ghost buck in the top left hand of the picture above the doe. Can you find it?
