Of course July’s quote has to be about freedom. In Utah we not only celebrate the 4th of July along with the rest of the nation, but the 24th of July. The 4th of July is the Independence Day for the United State and the 24th of July is the day the Mormon pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley with the declaration from Brigham Young that “this is the place.”
This brought settlers and the settlement of the state that would be eventually known as Utah. The pioneers fled from the United States out to what was Mexico At the time. They were prosecuted and some killed for their religious beliefs.
This quote can be used for the United States and her citizens or as a personal affirmation.
Everyone has has some time of persecution it is how you rise above it that tells volumes.
