I love my design this year. It has allowed me to mix up ribbon and colors making a beautiful, homey Christmas design. The mixed metals pulled it all together. Silver, Platinum, Gold, Copper, Bronze, Rose Gold and a touch of Emerald For Patina. By mixing different sizes, texture, styles of bulbs with natural elements it looks elegant without a lot of fuss.
We live in our house so a museum type design doesn’t work. I have dogs and kids the design and decor has to be friendly for both. Keep this in mind as design your holiday decor. Make it fit you and your home not your home fit the design. Most of all do what you like. You live with it not your visitors.
Oh and the last picture is our retired K9 supervising the decorating of the house in my chair.
