Tzatziki sauce is very versatile. It is used as the traditional ingredient/condiment in Gyros, used as a sauce on meat, and it is also used as a dip for pita chips, vegetables, or just pitas.

16 oz container of Plain Greek Yogurt

1 average sized Cucumber, peeled seeded and diced as small as possible

1 tablespoon dried Dill 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1/4 teaspoon Greek Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Minced Garlic

Fresh ground Pepper to taste

Peel, seed, and dice an average sized Cucumber until the pieces are very small. If you have a hard time cutting a cucumber you can shred it.

In a mixing bowl place the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill, oregano, salt, vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, and pepper. Mix together and place in an airtight container overnight.

After it sits overnight it will be ready to be served as a sauce, condiment, or dip.
