My kids call these Poop Cookies

Updated: Aug 20, 2019

No that is not a typo. My kids do call these cookies "Poop Cookies." There is a good reason behind the name. It all started when we began pottie training my son, he had a fiber issue. As I addressed this issue and spoke with the pediatrician he let me know the issue was that he need more than the normal fiber in his diet. My pediatrician was 85 years old and did not believe in fixing this issue with medicine. He looked at me and said "I know you can cook. I want you to make your best oatmeal raisin cookie you can. Change the recipe to have wheat flour, nuts, lots of high fiber ingredients, and lots of chocolate. Make them irresistible to kids and put them in a cookie jar on the counter. let your kids eat as many as they want. The kids will self regulate themselves." This is the recipe I created. It worked. We do not use constipation medication in our house. We make a batch of these cookies. As a warning only eat they are yummy. Only eat 2 cookies if you do not have constipation.

I have friends constantly asking for this recipe. I give it out named High Fiber Oatmeal Cookie.
