My husband’s favorite Christmas treat is Caramel Popcorn. It has been a family tradition going back to when we were dating that I would make him and his father their own turkey pan full of Caramel Popcorn. I got this recipe from my mother who got it from a school class cookbook. It is the best Caramel Popcorn recipe. It is also easy to make.

3 gallons of air-popped, popcorn

1 stick of Butter

1 cup Karo syrup

2 1/3 cups Brown Sugar

1 (14 oz) can Sweeten and Condensed Milk

1 can mixed and salted Nuts

Aluminum Turkey pan

Pop the popcorn into a bowl. Sort out the unpopped kernels and place only the popped corn into the turkey pan.

In a pot on the stove place the sugar, Karo syrup, and butter. Heat and stir until butter is melted. Add the sweeten and condensed milk and stir. Bring to a boil while stirring and bring to soft ball stage.

Pour over popcorn and stir to coat. Add nuts while stirring gently. When coated allow to cool and enjoy.
