Making a Star Spangled Banner for the 4th of July is a fun way to show you patriotism.

100 inches of Jute twine
19 x 36 inch piece of stripe fabric
On the fold (cut 4 pennants) pennant pattern below
19 x 36 inch piece of star fabric
On the fold (cut 4 pennants)
10 x 36 inch price of double sided Heat bond (cut 8 pennants)
Your pennants should look like the one below. Start by Opening the pennant.

Place double sided heat bond on one side. Line it up so it matches the pennant.

Use a hot iron set on heat only no steam. Follow the directions on the heat bond.

Once adhered to one side. Peel the paper.

Fold over, place jute through the top of the fold, and use the iron following the instructions to adhere the two sides together.

Repeat again with the alternate pennant until complete.

Tie loops on the end or tie the pennant where you want it for decoration.
This pennant banner is double sided and is stiff due to the heat bond. It will stay in place especially in a wind.
