Planting my Sun loving Garden

Plants are picky about how much sun they get. Some thrive in the Sun and some struggle. It is important when planning a garden to see look at what type of light your garden gets and plant the appropriate plants for the space. I have a garden which has full sun, full southern exposure. This means that this area will have full sun on it year round. The plants that go here have to be sun lovers.

I prefer to start my garden with perennials. They come back yearly and will grow into the space given. Later I can fill in with annuals or more perennials later. My sun garden space is 5 x 3.

Sun loving flowers are usually bright and colorful flowers. I like to mix up the colors and make a big bright impact.

I chose Cone flowers (Echinacea), Speedwell (Veronica), Sneeze Weed (Helenium), Mallow, and Daisy (Shasta).

I planted the flowers so they tallest will be in the back going to the smallest at front.

I can’t wait to see how this garden turns out and to cut some of these flowers for my personal bouquets.

A plus is that most of these perennials are under $10.00.
