Wildflowers found

Updated: Aug 6, 2019

This last weekend we visited the Uintah Mountains in Ashley National Forest. I found some beautiful wildflowers. My favorite flower blooms this time of year. Indian Paintbrush is a beautiful wildflowers which comes in several varieties but all are bright red and stand out in their environment. I found some other flowers that I am still trying to identify. There are meadows filled with wildflowers you can find if you look. i have been looking for the name of the bell shaped flowers which have pink interior striping. Not only are they beautiful but have a wonderful fragrance which mixed with fresh rain and pine made a scent I wish I could bottle. Below is a link to a wildflower directory for Utah. I have been searching to identify the flowers in the pictures. It was published by Utah State University. https://forestry.usu.edu/files/other-publications/desert-plants-of-utah.pdf
