Witches Brew steel cut oatmeal

This is a fun, healthy, delicious Halloween breakfast. It is great for kids or the kid within.

It can be cooked in a regular pot but a cast iron Dutch oven will give a Witcher effect.

1 Cup of Mummy bones or 1 Cup Steel Cut Oatmeal (old fashion oats can also be used)

1 1/4 Cup Unicorn blood or 1 1/4 Cup Milk

1 Cup Mermaid tears or 1 Cup Water

Pinch of Flies wings or pinch of Salt

1/4 Cup of Dragon scales or 1/4 Cup Sugar

1 Cup Eyes of Newt or 1 Cup Blueberries

Place the ingredients above in a pot and bring to a boil. Cover and boil for 20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon Werewolf drool or 1 teaspoon Vanilla.

Serve in a bowl with a pat of bat butter, sprinkle with more Dragon scales or sugar, and cover with more Unicorn blood or milk.

“bat butter” cut your oats of butter into little bats or other Halloween shapes. You can also add gummy worms hanging out the bowl.

Most of all have fun!! Happy Halloween! Song of the Witches: “Double, double toil and trouble”

(from Macbeth)

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Fillet of a fenny snake, In the caldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg and howlet's wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Cool it with a baboon's blood, Then the charm is firm and good. Notes:

Macbeth: IV.i 10-19; 35-38
